Belt’s Soft Serv in Stevens Point

Honestly my favorite place to go for soft serve ice cream. You get huge serving sizes and plenty of options to choose from. My favorite is the hot fudge brownie flurry. Such a historic and well know place to visit in Point and quite sad that a rival shop opened it's doors literally right across the street. I believe they still only accept cash or check.

The fresh raspberry sundae lures me in every time! A cool treat on a hot day. Sat in the shade so our ice cream didn't melt too fast!

Doesn't take credit cards. Disappointed. Went down the street to another ice cream shop that does take credit cards.

Truly excellent soft serve at an affordable price. A Stevens Point classic.

The service is friendly and it has a fantastic location and I think it will make a great impact on the family's that live around the building for a place to get together.

Was good, but disappointed in the brownie sundae should have just went with a turtle sundae

LOVE this place! Best ice cream in Wisconsin!! You know how good it is when you drive by and see the people in line waiting for their ice cream.This is a fantastic meeting place, people are very friendly, we always see someone we know. It's truly a ONE OF KIND place. The ice cream choices are mind blowing! Flurries, cones ( see picture below). Staff is awesome, very helpful and outright friendly!

I come here once a year and order a medium soft serve twist- always the best ice cream I will have that year. Photo from when I had already started nibbling 😅

Belts never disappoints. I love the soft serve. Ordered a large zebra (twist), which is my usual fun order. HUGE, as usual. Thinking I might have to drop down to a medium from now on. Extremely reasonably priced. The quality of their products and their portion size cannot be compared to any other place IMHO. Absolutely amazing. Been visiting Belts every time in the area (when they are open during their season) since college in the late '80's. Will definitely keep coming back. This is a MUST STOP for anyone going through the Point area. Definitely worth the trip off the highway.

Belt's is great! They have so many options to choose from that it is almost overwhelming. Flurries, cones, shakes, slushies, etc. Their portion sizes were outrageously large! Not a lot of seating available; no indoor space so not a great choice if it's raining. My Cookie Monster Flurry (blue moon ice cream, cookie dough, and cookies & cream) was okay, but I probably wouldn't get it again. I'll definitely be returning to Belt's though! So many more options to try!

Awesome! My sister said that have the best ice cream and it was really good. It's just soft serve (and then all kinds of toppings, etc.), but it's very GOOD soft serve - especially the chocolate - very chocolatey and smooth. My nephew had "The Belt Buster" which consisted of a big bowl of brownie pieces & ice cream. It is aptly named. All their brownies are homemade. Worth checking out!

Soft serve ice cream was just OK. Peach wasn't the flavor of the week. It wasn't very flavorful.

Point classic! A summer must, they make their own cookie dough & peanut butter cups to name a few.

Always love going here for the BEST soft serve! Have so many different flavors ITS INSANE! now I live about a mile away and cant help but stop there when we dont take our usual way home, not to mention the fact we can just go anytime with it being about a 5 minute drive.

Loved coming here all my life growing up in Stevens Point, used to be my favorite place to go. However the first time I went this year really upset me how the presentation and service has changed. Prices have increased significantly throughout the years and my normal order of a flurry was, 1. Not mixed all the way through and 2. Had no big chunks of toppings on the top of the flurry. So essentially I am paying more, and getting less. The service provided lacked confidence and efficiency. They couldn’t remember flavors/toppings and mixed up multiple orders to guests in front of us. I was pretty shocked and disappointed, especially during a time when small business needs support...I was expecting a little more well put together presentation. Definitely will be considering other options.

How can you not love this place‽ My wife is from the area originally but we live in MN. Every time we go back to WI during the season, we make sure we go through Point to get our fix.

Currently NONE of the staff (working in close proximity to each other) are wearing masks "We don't have to". I also noticed dirty wiping towels strewn on the counters and an overall lack of care with regard to preparation. Too bad, it makes me uncomfortable with an establishment I really liked in the past. I feel like they're comfortable with coasting on their past reputation.

Awesome zebra cones and shakes really good prices. Real special landmark in Stevens Point. Opening day they had lines at both windows. Very friendly staff.

The only thing that’s disappointing isn’t the aren’t open year round!! A must visit location in Stevens Point. Stop here if you need a treat!

Soft Serve was delicious, although I would highly recommend dome lids to retain the rapidly melting soft serve at higher temperatures.

A must go whenever passing through! One of my all time favorite places to get ice cream from. One of my favorite things about Belts' is that throughout the summer, they will stock fresh fruit for a topping, and whether you like your berries mixed in, or right on top, you won't regret getting it. They even have options for gluten and dairy allergies. 10/10 Highly Recommend.

Missed this place when living in Milwaukee I would go there when I was up in Point every 6 weeks ish during the Belts season now that I live in point I go 1-2 times a week

The best soft serve in Wisconsin! Family owned, great prices, and hand-made toppings. A must try is the Black Forest with peanutbutter cups. Yummy!

Belts is always a special, treat place. Huge variety of ice cream treats, not to mention the seasonal specials. It makes for a great lunch!

The absolutely best place to get soft serve Ice cream treats. Family owned business that has become an institution in Stevens Point. Open about from March to October you will often have to wait in line because of the number of patrons especially in late afternoon and early evenings. Can't lose with this business.

Belt's is a Steven's Point tradition. My grandparents brought me here, my parents brought me here, I brought my husband here, and now we bring our kids here! No spring would be complete without at least one Belt's ice cream!

No visit to Stevens Point is complete without a stop at Belt's. Order a large cone of you're brave!

Small price, BIG ICE CREAM! Like dairy queen ice cream, but more options and more ice cream. Super tasty. Great stop before/after going to the park (vet's memorial).

Blue raspberry slushy float, so perfect on a hot day. Tastes just as good as it did 30yrs ago.
